Welcome to My 2012
Students from The Petersfield School add the finishing touches to the My 2012 Trophy
George Gilliatt and Zoe Wands complete the work on this specially commissioned trophy for the grand ceremony and games to be held on behalf of the Education Improvement Partnership (The EIP) for East Hampshire schools on the 6th July at The Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth.
Zoe and George add the painted elements onto the trophy to symbolise the 5 rings and continents featuring in the 6th of July ceremony.
They said ‘we love the trophy and have not seen anything like it before, it’s totally cool and unique to our schools’.
Good luck to all our cluster representatives who will compete to win this impressive award on the 6 th July.

Proudly part of the Educational Improvement Partnership (EIP) for East Hampshire.
Central to our beliefs about the power and values of London 2012 is that all
children can find something to excite them in either sport or the arts.
My 2012 believes in a fully inclusive approach to celebrate this incredible year.
My 2012 is a year-long diary of activities for children in our partnership. This site has been created to be the central hub for communication for the activities which will be available to students in our schools/colleges and across the clusters. You can see the clusters above and can use the drop down to find your school if you are in the partnership.
Teachers and parents can also access this site to collect resources related to the London 2012 Olympic and Para-Olympic Games. We are also very proud to include the countdown to the Cultural Olympiad which is happening during the build up to the opening ceremony. My 2012 are proud members of the Get Set Network and are actively encouraging our partner schools to sign up.
This site is unique to Hampshire and will serve local children over the forthcoming year. It is also the only site which counts down to the Olympic, Para-Olympic and Cultural Olympiad events so our students can share the excitement of this once-in-a–lifetime experience.
To navigate through this site we have kept it simple. You are visiting us to either show us what you have done (in which case your teacher will have your school log-in to upload your news) or you are here to look for resources which others have offered to share. The site is divided in two: Sport and Culture and you can access or load projects via your school page (on the drop-down of your cluster). Each cluster has been assigned a theme for this year’s ceremony (consisting of a continent and a colour), we hope the shared excitement and spectacle of schools joining together in this way will make for an outstanding event on the 6th July at The Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth.
We look forward to reading about your school's success as we begin our countdown to London 2012. Early successes were celebrated in January with a fantastic 'Marker Event'. Have a look at some of the great work students have been doing around East Hampshire.
